I usually go to coffee shops when I want to get my study/work done because I feel like I can focus more there. Some people need a quiet place to work, but it looks like a moderate level of noise, like coffee shop noise, can make you more creative according to
a study.
Here is the quote from the
article.
"A study by researchers at the University of British Columbia and the University of Virginia suggests that moderate ambient noise--70 decibels, like that found in a coffee shop--can boost your ability to come up with creative ideas. The moderate noise distraction, researchers speculate, may aid in abstract thinking."
So...what do you think? Do you think you are more creative with moderate noise and distraction?... or in a quiet place? What works for you?
