The “Coffee with Apple CEO Tim Cook” auction ended at $610,000. Yes, that's right - someone paid $610,000 to have coffee with Tim Cook for 30min and an hour at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. The proceeds from this auction will go to an international nonprofit, The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. I understand that this was all done for charity, but $610,000 to chat with someone for 30 minutes? I want to know who this rich person is!
While that is a lot of money for a single conversation, I really want to know what they are going to talk about. For example, a simple question like "When is the new iPhone coming out?" (which is probably what most of us “normal” people want to know) probably cannot be answered. The other thing is that this person has to sign to a nondisclosure agreement and cannot blog, Facebook, or tweet during the meeting.
